All about us...

We are a small family farm site hidden in the Cambrian Mountains of Mid Wales, near the lovely town of Llanidloes. Our easy to find, just off A470 location makes a stay with us convenient yet once you wind up to our drive you are on top of the world with spectacular views both day and night - we are a recognised Dark Skies Wales area for outstanding stargazing due to our lofty 1300ft height and un-light polluted sky.

With over 60 acres to explore space and quite is guaranteed. Choose from secluded Idris the Shepherds hut with repurposed horsebox shower and woodfired outdoor bath, family glamping geo-domes Willow & Oak and Daisy bell tent with camp kitchens or wild meadow camping plus a campervan spot.

Llanidloes is a great local town, only 2 miles away, full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants plus the necessities like a supermarket etc. Locally there are forests, mountains and hidden wild swim spots aplenty plus Machynlleth with Centre of Alternative Tech, Elan Valley, Aberdovey town and beach, Borth beach and nature reserve, Powys Castle at Welshpool, Red Kite Feeding centre to see 1000's of Red Kites all around you. The Mach Loop - climb the hills and wait to almost touch a very real 'Top Gun' fighter jet! And so much more... Whether you are hiking, MBT, wild swimming or just relaxing it is a superb undiscovered location surrounded by nature.

We are Suzi & Joe Drew, with our boys & Suzi's Dad Tom we moved to Mid Wales in November 2018. We found Pantmaenog Farm almost by accident. Love at first sight!

What your stay helps pay for...

We started the campsite to enable us to share how special Pantmaenog with you!

Our mission is to rewild the farm, manage the ancient woodland, support the abundant wildlife & finally protect its 5 acre peat-bog (peat bogs are as environmentally important as rain forests  – peat holds more carbon than the combined forests of Britain, France and Germany!) see attached – monty wildlife trust.
